HCMV glycoproteins US7 and US8 target the innate immune response.
HCMV-encoded US7 and US8 act as antagonists of innate immunity by distinctively targeting TLR-signaling pathways.

View SamplesIn this study, investigators recruited the largest reported cohort of tolerant kidney transplant recipients who maintained their graft after ceasing to take their immunosuppression drug, and compared this cohort to subjects with stable allograft function while on immunosuppression and healthy non transplated, controls. Using gene expression studies, they identified genetic markers that are strong candidates for predicting kidney transplant candidates who may benefit from minimization or withdrawl of immunosuppression.

View SamplesmiR-34a is strongly induced upon TPA-induced megakaryocyte differentiation of K562 cells. To investigate the gene networks regulated by this miRNA during the process of differentiation we performed gene microarray analysis in K562 cells overexpressing miR-34a or a control sequence.
miR-34a contributes to megakaryocytic differentiation of K562 cells independently of p53.
