View SamplesTo investigate the effect of local genetic variation on heritable traits, we developed a new recombinant inbred line (RIL) population derived from four wild isolates. The wild isolates were collected from two closely located sites in France: Orsay and Santeuil. By crossing these four genetically diverse parental isolates a population of 200 RILs was constructed. RNA-seq was used to obtain sequence polymorphisms

View SamplesIn mice, zygotic activation mainly occurs on a wide variety of genes mainly at the 2-cell stage. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are increasingly being recognized as molecules that modulate gene expression. In this study, we performed the directional RNA-seq of MII oocytes and 2-cell embryos to identify the long noncoding RNAs activated during ZGA.

View SamplesVHL inactivation is a major component of renal cancer. In this study we re-engineered RCC4 cells to re-express VHL and performed mRNA-sequencing on triplicates to analyse gene and transcript expression changes specific to VHL inactivation.

View SamplesSevere asthma is a collection of disease entities with varying pathophysiological characteristics (7) that result in symptoms of cough, wheeze and breathlessness, with frequent exacerbations. To address the problem of phenotypic difference and heterogeneity, the Unbiased Biomarkers for the Prediction of Respiratory Disease Outcomes (U-BIOPRED) project was set up as a public-private partnership within the framework of the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI), engaging academia, the pharmaceutical industry and patient groups. The goal of this investigation was to identify transcript fingerprints in whole blood that characterize patients with severe asthma and to determine whether subgroups of severe asthmatics can be identified. Furthermore, we were interested in elucidating the biological pathways that showed differences between subgroups.

View SamplesTo explore the psoriasis phenotype and pathways involved in psoriasis, we characterized gene expression in lesional and non-lesional skin from psoriasis patients. Furthermore, we explored the effects of various doses of brodalumab on lesional skin over time.

View SamplescDNA and cRNA hybridization technologies have different, probe-specific sensitivities. We used samples from an etanercept trial (GSE11903) to explore in a real-life setting the uniqueness of each platform.
